Im Joo Hwan (What’s Up) and Kim Jae Wook (Mary Stayed Out All Night) will both be discharged from the military soon.
Updates on Nine: Nine Time Travels: ZE:A‘s Park Hyung Sik will play Lee Jin Wook’s college-age counterpart after he leaps into the past.
All About My Romance is lost its THIRD potential leading lady, Han Hye-jin. Lee Min-jung (Big) is rumored to take over the role. On the lighter side of things, they’ve confirmed Park Hee-soon (The Client) as a second lead. He’ll play a prosecutor turned aide to the heroine, who’s a rookie parliamentarian.
Kim Jung-hoon (I Need Romance) takes the lead role in Wild Dogs as a reporter “who lives his life like a makjang.” His character happens upon a village and starts digging up that village’s secrets. Wild Dogs will begin filming later this month and aims for a release in the latter half of the year. After shooting wraps on the film, Kim plans to head back to dramaland for his next series.
Uhm Tae-woong is set to appear in Top Star, which is perhaps most notable for the fact that it is the directorial debut for Park Joong-hoon—an actor—who also wrote the screenplay. Kim Min-joon (Romance Town, Friend Our Legend) has also joined the cast, though little is available about his role or storyline. Top Star will begin filming in March.
Friend 2 will be a story spanning three generations: Yoo Oh-sung (Faith) will play his original character, Joo Jin-mo (Coffee) will play his father in the past, and the yet-to-be-cast young actor will play Jang Dong-gun’s son in the present. Director Kwak Kyung-taek is helming the sequel and so far using familiar actors. Friend 2 starts shooting this spring.
