I initially thought this would be the weakest Fall season I’ve seen to date. But let’s see, there’s always a hidden gem somewhere.

Thoughts: The director and writer of Gurren Lagann are reunited. Here’s to hoping their creativity will recreate another epic anime!

Thoughts: I was hooked when I saw the first sunset photo and the fact it was P.A. Works was animating it. The plot is more reminiscent of the current production, Uchoten Kazoku which took awhile before it grown to me. I love the slice of life tone P.A Works establishes. Even if the anime ends up so-so, you can expect pretty visuals to make up for it.

Summary: The anime’s taglines read, “To those ‘adults’ who don’t want to become adults…” and “Hero will never give up, never hide, never be defeated, never accept evil.”
Thoughts: Anything that’s on the noitaminA block must be pretty good. I personally don’t know what to expect with a summary like that so I’ll just wait to be pleasantly surprised. It’s interesting to see how it’s incorporating the designs from the 90s. The colors are quite bold choices if I must add.

Thoughts: I enjoyed the first one even though I forgot most of the plot by now. I always love seeing remakes of good shows. I heard that the OVA which Ryo-Timo directed was a much more fantastic adaptation and follow the manga better. I didn’t like how the character designs became softer but maybe that’s part of the artistic effect of his storytelling method.
